Welcome to Anglican Essentials Federation
The FEDERATION is a national organization representing Canadian Anglicans, coast to coast to coast and a constituent part of Anglican Essentials Canada with the Anglican Network. Anglican Essentials has grown out of the grassroots response of Anglicans to the crisis that has been developing in their church over the past 50 years.
The Federation is endeavoring to be a rallying place for faithful Canadian Anglicans who want to see the Anglican Church of Canada embrace and live by the principles of its own constitution as set forth in the Solemn Declaration of 1893. The Federation is striving to assist the efforts of all Anglicans in this country who wish to see their church remain in full membership with the global Anglican Communion
The Federation is a national organization, separate and self-governing, with representatives on its National Council from coast to coast to coast. The Council provides equal representation (along with the Network) on the Board of Anglican Essentials Canada. The Federation is committed to representing Anglicans within the Anglican Church of Canada who -
a) are deeply concerned about the drift away from orthodoxy and from the foundational principles and formularies of their church.
b) believe it is their mission to pray and work for renewal, over time, of the commitment to Jesus Christ and his Church and the recovery of a lively orthodoxy in the Anglican Church of Canada.
c) are thus able, in conscience, to participate fully in the life of their parish families, their dioceses and the ACC.
d) wish the General Synod of the ACC to commit to full membership in the Anglican Communion in accordance with The Solemn Declaration of 1893 (Page viii, BCP), the principles and recommendations of the Windsor Report and the terms of the draft Anglican Covenant
